ONU
Overview
In fiber-to-the-premises systems, the signal is transmitted to the customer premises using fiber optic technologies. Unlike many conventional telephone technologies, this does not provide power for premises equipment, nor is it suitable for direct connection to customer equipment. An optical network terminal, also known as an optical network unit , is used to terminate the fiber optic line, demultiplex the signal into its component parts (voice telephone, television, and Internet access), and provide power to customer telephones. ONT is launched to be oriented to multi-service integration network as an optical network unit device, which belongs to XPON HGU terminal for FTTH/O scenario. It configures internal ports, WiFi (2.4G+5G/2.4G) port, and RF interface (optional) that providing with high-speed data services and high-quality video services to users.
